This restaurant has gone through many names and reincarnations through the years (Tan Wong, 103 East Bway Restaurant, etc...) but has largely remained the same, albeit a few shrinks in portion size and price hikes. They have the best congee in New York, and at $4-5 (depending on what toppings you get) it's still a steal. Love coming here with my family.

This is a good place for a quick bite. Wontons and still close seem to be the signature items. The price was a reasonable. They do a lot of takeout business

This is probably the cheapest eats of Chinatown?! We got a roast duck dish for $6.50 and beef chow fun for $7.50. The congee i got with pork, beef and squid was $4 Duck was delicious. Chow fun needed more seasoning but still not bad. I enjoyed my congee. The only let down was the eggplant chicken - I know this dish usually comes with salted fish but this one was wayyyyy to fishy for me - it's like they used a ton of fish sauce instead of actual pieces of salted fish which is probably what happened but still, I give them 5 stars because the servers were nice

My father introduced me to this place. He knows good food. Dad said the roast duck noodle soup here is the best, and he was right. It beats other restaurants that I have tried. Sometimes I don't eat the duck skin, but this was too tasty. Dad also said to dip the duck in their hot sauce. It made the duck even more delicious. The price is very reasonable.

A decent place for fast, cheap, dependable Cantonese / Hong Kong fare. Whether it's congee, lo mein, pan fried noodles, rice dishes, BBQ meats, or wonton noodle soups, there's all that you'd expect of Chinese lunchtime fare here, and it's all served quickly and efficiently.
There's nothing extremely special about the food or the venue, which sits atop a large Chinese supermarket on the eastern edge of Chinatown, but whether you're dining inside or getting stuff to go, it's simply a cheap, fast option to have.
